We are so excited to be on this new adventure! Our family is officially in training to be a family of 4, and crossing the finish line in July, 2015. I know that as parents we are never really crossing the finish line, but it was fun for the announcement.
So far this pregnancy has been pretty smooth as far as symptoms... I now have my appetite back, but still fighting the fatigue. Probably a combination of having a 2 and a half year old, working full time, and growing a human! Hopefully things will settle down for a couple months. Morning shakes in the Ninja Pulse have been a savior for energy!
Getting excited? We have wanted this for so long, our excitement level is through the roof and we are thankful more then words can express. I must say that this time is different in the fact that I've had to put effort into focusing on this pregnancy and thinking about the baby in my growing belly. The first time, it was all I thought about it seemed. Probably the added component of being a mom already and having Cece to focus on too contributes to feeling that way... a little guilty. Anyone else have that feeling? It's hard to describe.
Getting bigger... Things sure do expand a lot quicker the 2nd time around! Woah! Don't tempt me with a good pair of maternity pants! I was wearing very loose clothes to work for the past few weeks as I began to see the emerging bump. This past week I decided my loose clothing was getting so loose it was starting to look frumpy... Well I wore a normal shirt to school. I told hubby that morning "Want to take bets on when the first student will ask if I'm having a baby?" It took until the second group of kids (1st graders) to ask me. The rest of the day I had a student in each class politely ask. My favorite was "Mrs. Lyons, I don't really want to offend you but... (awkward pause) are you having a baby?" It was fun telling the kids and they were all excited not only for me, but also for Cece to become a big sister. I'm so grateful to have such thoughtful students.
Pregnant with Chiari is a post for another day! Short story... we are going to our much anticipated appointment with a Chiari specialist in Orlando this coming week! We have a lot of questions for Dr. Trumble, and look forward to getting more information. I'm lucky to have a whole team of doctors this time around!
We are so thankful to be blessed with this joy and look forward to the adventure it will take us on. Cheers!
