Hi Friends! Whew what a 4 months it has been. I went on maternity leave from work and blogging. Having two kids is NO JOKE. They are awesome kiddos but I am one tired mommy. I miss the blog and I've been working on some fun ideas as I get back to it.
People often ask "so, how is it having two?" So until I find my mind and gather my thoughts and words for my future blog posts, I'll share some things I've learned about having two kids.
- Love is meant to be shared. I didn't know if it was going to be hard to share love with another child (I know that sounds cruel and crazy and it's hard to explain) but it just happens... the more kids, the more love there is to go around!
- The house stays messy. As hard as I try, I cannot seem to keep my house clean. I'm crossing my fingers it comes with time, because I get very frustrated with it.
- Mommy brain is a real thing, and it gets worse with two kids. I'm a space cadette these days!
- Schedules aren't as important the second time around... being on the go with the oldest one makes flexibility very important for the youngest. He has to be able to sleep whenever, wherever!
- I'm learning to prioritize time for myself. For me, that's going to the gym and sending the kiddos to the Kidzone (at the YMCA) while I workout. I am thankful for a little time by myself to do something that is improving my health.
- It's A LOT of work, but SO worth it.
Stay tuned for more soon... recipes, experiences, running, and looking into a giveaway of some sort. I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving! Cheers!
